That seems to be the theme of my paintings lately, making order out of chaos - and chaos out of order. Somewhere in the balance lies the sweet spot. In this painting Bear and I are playing with that balance. Viewed from a distance, the colors on her chest look like a forest of trees. Up close the patches of color seem more random. The background is very abstract, but the lines define areas and create an order.
That's sort of how life is - mine anyway - a dance between chaos and order. I find I'm not happy when things are too orderly, too prescribed, too routine...and yet I'm not happy when things are too random, too out of control, too exciting. I need the balance between the two. I like a good roller coaster ride but wouldn't want to be on one 24-7. (Although sometimes my life feels that way!)
The
Black bear is a practical power animal, discerning and wise, less aggressive and more discreet than the Brown Bear. A well balanced, helpful and warm companion on shamanic journeys.
Bear also has links to the seven color rays of the Universal Light as well as Lunar ties, linking the subconscious and the unconscious mind.
