Night Bird

"Because hope is the bird that sings even when she can't see the dawn." - Nightbirde

Back in 2021, a singer named Nightbirde took the stage on "America's Got Talent" and wowed the judges - not only with her talent, but her story and her incredible outlook in the face of terminal cancer.  The song, "It's OK" earned her the right to continue competing, and won her the "Golden Buzzer Award".  Unfortunately she had to withdraw before the quarterfinals because of her worsening health. She passed away in February, 2022.

When asked why she chose the name "Nightbirde", she answered, "Woke up in the night three times, dreaming of birds singing in the dark. The third time, I went to the window and they were there singing morning songs at 3am. I wanted to be one of them singing as if it was morning, though I couldn't see it yet."

I want that kind of hope, the kind that shines even in the darkest hour. The kind that refuses to give in to despair. Not because hope will change the outcome, but because hope keeps the dream alive.
